Netflix fans are furious over fears of breakout hit teen series being canceled and are threatening to boycott the streaming service

NETFLIX fans are threatening to boycott the streaming service over a hit teen series.
Some fans took to Twitter to vent their anger amid fears that Netflix thriller series Lockwood & Co. would be cancelled.

Lockwood & Co. is a show about teenage supernatural detectives fighting deadly spirits on their ghost hunting journeys.
Since airing in January, the British series has garnered a sizable following, despite disappointing ratings in the first week of its debut.
Back in February, Netflix fan Twitter account What on Netflix tweeted that Lockwood & Co.’s viewership “dropped 61% from week 2 to week 3.”
If the show continues to have low ratings, there is a chance it will be cancelled.

However, fans seem poised to fight back before that happens.
One fan tweeted: “I swear @netflix if you cancel #LockwoodandCo I will delete my account and boycott it. After Sabrina quit, I never recovered. #cliffhangers#amazingtvshows#you have been warned.”
Another fan added on Twitter: “What can we do to make Netflix revamp Lockwood and Co.? They threaten, bribe, boycott, go on hunger strike, go RABID? Help #lockwoodandco#renewlockwoodandco @netflix @NetflixUK @FictionComplete @JonathanAStroud #Lockwoodszntwo.”
Someone else tweeted: “I want to buy a ticket to the @NetflixUK office and smack them if they cancel #LockwoodandCo. But I’ll give them flowers if they renew #LockwoodandCo.”

A fourth person tweeted: “Okay #LockwoodandCo is absolutely fabulous. So entertaining. Netflix has already canceled too many fantasy shows to avoid getting too clingy.”
“I hate that you can’t just enjoy a great new series #LockwoodandCo on Netflix because you also have to worry that it will probably be canceled after this one season,” a fifth fan tweeted.
ON THE CUT BLOCK
Recently, fantasy shows like Lockwood & Co have been getting their start on Netflix.
The show Titans was booted from the streaming platform back in January and ended after its fourth season.
It is produced by HBO Max in the US and airs internationally on Netflix.
The current season has been split into two parts but is now coming to an end after being kicked off the streaming service.
HBO Max confirmed the news along with announcing that it will also be canceling another DC Universe show, Doom Patrol.
Doom Patrol will end after its current fourth season run.
HBO Max said in a statement, “While this will be the final seasons of Titans and Doom Patrol, we are extremely proud of these series and look forward to fans seeing it culminate.
“We are grateful to Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television for producing such exciting, action-packed and heartfelt series.”
It will come as a huge blow to Netflix viewers, who will be sad to hear of yet another cancellation.
Although there is a possibility that Netflix will pick up the show as an international production for additional seasons, nothing has been confirmed.
HBO Max added in the statement, “For four seasons, fans have fallen in love with The Titans and Doom Patrol, invested in their trials and tribulations, and in their legendary battles as they continue to save the world.”
It’s the latest in a very long line of shows to be unceremoniously dumped from Netflix – with the streamer’s boss even reassuring worried fans after the multiple cancellations.

The Netflix CEO told Bloomberg, “We have never canceled a successful show. A lot of these shows were well intentioned but appealed to very small audiences with very big budgets.
“The key is that you need to be able to speak to a small audience on a small budget and to a large audience on a large budget. If you do this well, you can do this forever.”
