Neighbors share opinion after posting an aggressive memo demanding that other residents stop playing music

An AGRESSIVE note urging a group of residents to stop playing their music has divided opinion.
The sign indicating the noise level emanating from one of the apartments was posted on a building’s municipal notice board.

The note read: “Unit 22, stop your music. We need a quiet environment to work/live in.”
Apparently, two other people agreed with who wrote the note.
They commented “well done” and “great job”.
In a post on Reddit, a poster uploaded an image of the note and said, “Sign my building’s municipal notice board.”

“But they can do whatever they want, right? The real problem is that homes these days are made of paper and have very little soundproofing.”
The post received many reactions from a number of people with differing opinions about the note.
Most people thought the note wasn’t very friendly and tenants had every right to make some noise.
One person commented: “Hahaha that’s a big public call! The way sound travels is often partly a building issue, in addition to living in common spaces, but whether or not they’re allowed also depends on noise and “quiet enjoyment” rules “in the lease.”
Someone else instructed the original poster (OP) to write a response that said, “Use your grown-up manners and talk to your neighbors.”
Another said: “Technically they can make whatever noise they want outside of a few hours, but if you’re a decent person with general curiosity then don’t do it.”
Another said her relationship with her neighbor was destroyed because of loud music.
They wrote: “I hate my neighbors for playing loud music. It pervades my house next door and why? Because someone can’t be respectful? Especially for a longer period of time.”
In another dispute, a “moody” neighbor’s efforts to keep visitors away from what appears to be a busy vacation rental have gone viral.
The man set up roadblocks on his street, used paper towels suspended from large A-frames and warned potential Airbnb guests to turn back.
