Neighbors rage over ‘passively aggressive’ residents sending them cards asking them to close at 10pm on New Year’s Eve

A PARTY vandal tried to kill off the festive spirit with their neighbors by sending them all the cards asking them to be quiet at 10 p.m. New Year’s Eve.
The killer is nicknamed “Karen” by a disgruntled resident of Reddit posted after they received the request in the mail in Houston, Texas.
The card starts off pretty, saying: “Wishing you happy moments, happy memories and happiness. Christmas. ”
But the message inside doesn’t spread as much as the seasonal cheers as people prepare for Christmas and New Year.
It says: “Dear neighbor …”
“We are all well aware that 2021 is going to be a very difficult year for a lot of people in our neighborhood.
“For some, it is a loss of jobs, for others a loss of income, and for many of us it is a loss of health.
“This holiday season, we ask each of us to come together by showing kindness and concern to neighbors who are going through difficult times.
“It all starts with getting rid of loud music and fireworks after 10pm.
The card concludes: “The greatest gift we can give is the Silent Night.”
One of the recipients of the anonymous card was not pleased and took to Reddit to write: “Some Karen has mailed these to my whole neighborhood with no return address. I suspect. I doubt this will work.
They added: “Honestly most of the noise comes from apartments about a mile away because they like to fire off fireworks during Christmas and New Year.
“It’s not clear why they’re sending cards to the homes because I’ve lived here for 27 years and I still haven’t seen anyone set off fireworks or play loud music anywhere but the apartments.”
The post left people divided over whether or not the person was right to ask for some peace and quiet during the holiday season.
One person commented: “While it’s a bit out there, I don’t really object to the message.”
Another concurred, saying: “Yeah, sounds like some rude hole-in-the-wall being playing loud music and setting off fireworks after 10pm. I guess sending a card is ‘Karen’ rather than calling the police .”
“I’m on Karen’s side here. If she says 7 or 8 that’s one thing, but 10 p.m. is the right time to stop the fireworks and play house vibrato,” a third added.
Another commented: “It’s a little buggy and it’s NYE but IDK….”
