A BASKETBALL star has attempted to make a comeback in the NBA after a brutal injury streak.
The former 2017 first-round pick, 24, held a private practice session for NBA teams in Las Vegas on Monday during the 2023 Summer League.
On Tuesday, Turner Sports NBA reporter Chris Haynes revealed footage of Giles’ training.
According to Haynes, those in attendance included “about a dozen NBA scouts and executives.”
And the video showcased the former power forward’s athletics, from crossovers, pull-up jump shots and floaters to layups and powerful dunks.
Fans loved the clip of Giles asking to return to the NBA.
One commented: “Put him back in the league man.”
A second wrote: “People have forgotten how good he is when he’s healthy and confident.”
While a third added: “He needs another chance in the league.”
A graduate of Oak Hill Academy, Giles was considered the top high school contender of the 2016 class.
In 2015 he joined Duke where he was out for two months due to knee surgery.
He gave up his last three years at Duke University and entered the 2017 NBA draft.
Giles would be drafted 20th overall by the Sacramento Kings and would be considered a potential All-Star.
However, Giles has suffered injuries as he has only played 142 games since joining the NBA in 2017.
Throughout his career, Harry averaged 5.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
His last team in the NBA was with the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2020–21 season.
He will have the chance to get a two-way contract – a new provision that was included in the latest NBA collective bargaining agreement.
