NBA games rumored to arrive on Vision Pro

The National Basketball Association hints that their games will be available on the Apple Vision Pro in the future.

Apple recently unveiled an NBA game as part of the Apple Vision Pro announcement, but it appears that more content is in the pipeline. The league has gained prominence and is considered a major factor in the launch of the AR headset. The Cupertino-based company has also expressed interest in acquiring streaming rights to expand its sports content on Apple TV+, which currently includes the MLS Season Pass and Friday Night Baseball.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver has also confirmed the move to bring basketball to Apple’s headset. Silver mentioned that they “work very closely with Apple,” but an exclusive chat revealed that both parties are exploring a redesigned gaming experience for fans.

At this year’s WWDC, En Kelly, Apple’s senior engineering program manager, said the Vision Pro is intended for “watching movies and playing Apple Arcade games.”
