Nate Diaz admits he tried to choke Jake Paul with an illegal MMA move as the UFC icon suffers defeat in her boxing debut

NATE DIAZ admits he ILLEGALLY strangled Jake Paul in their boxing match.
The MMA legend was welcomed to the boxing world by the social media sensation early Sunday morning for his first outing since retiring from the UFC.
Diaz, 38, was outwitted by the boxer-turned YouTuber – who won the competition via unanimous decision – and was eliminated in the fifth round.
As with his entire mixed martial arts career, Diaz came back strong in the final rounds.
And he put problem child Paul in a guillotine stranglehold in the closing stages of the tenth round.
Diaz confirmed that he intentionally tightened the choke hold after learning of Paul’s intention to fight him in mixed martial arts.
He said, “I had the single leg in the 1st and the guillotine in the 9th, so I’ve already won that.”
Fight fans were quick to comment on the choke attempt, with one saying: “He had the Gilly Locked haha.”
Another said: “Jake doesn’t want this MMA fight. That can’t lie. Gunna really wishes a lot for him.”
And another said: “Nate Diaz really put Jake Paul on the guillotine in the last round.”

One remarked: “Nate almost went deep into his MMA roots. I was about to see a guillotine.”
Paul broke his silence on the incident in the post-fight press conference, saying, “He fucking choked me.”
“He actually choked me.
“I thought, ‘This is crazy.’ I didn’t think he would stop, he made it. It’s funny.”
Former Disney star Paul signed a multi-year deal with rising MMA promotion Professional Fighters League in January.
And he’s adamant he would have thrown Diaz on his head if he’d tried to guillotine him in the cage.
He continued, “That’s why I want to do it again in MMA.”
“If it was in MMA, I would have fallen on a double leg, picked it up and dropped it on my head.”
