Mystery as the 27-year-old Briton lay dead by the side of the road in the French Alps while on a skiing holiday with friends

AUTHORITIES are looking for witnesses into the mysterious death of a British holidaymaker at a ski resort in the Alps.
The 27-year-old, identified only as Patrick F., was found on the side of a road in Flaine, which is part of the affiliated Grand Massif alpine sports area.
He was on a week’s ski break with friends and had spent the evening of March 30th at the Social Bar – a place extremely popular with British visitors to Flaine.
“The body of the deceased was found on a nearby road late in the evening,” said an investigative source, showing a picture of Patrick F.
“Efforts were made to revive him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen him on the night of March 30th – a Wednesday – to get in touch.

The source added, “The goal is to piece together the circumstances that led to this tragic death.”
Gendarmes from nearby Scionzier conduct investigations in the area, and investigations are led by prosecutors and a coroner.
A UK Foreign Office spokesman said: “We are supporting the family of a British citizen who has died in France and are in contact with local authorities.”
