MYSTERY surrounds the discovery of a newborn’s body after the child is found dead in a fast food restaurant’s bathroom.
Police responded to the restaurant after receiving a call about someone who had been injured and found the child.
Despite life-saving efforts to save the baby, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The results of an autopsy are still pending.
Police released surveillance footage of an unidentified woman in a black Calvin Klein T-shirt exiting the bathroom before the baby’s remains were found.
It’s unclear if she is linked to the investigation, but police posted the video on social media and asked anyone who recognized her to call authorities.
An inquest into the child’s death was ongoing and no further updates had been released as of Tuesday evening.
ANOTHER NEWBORN FOUND
Another check-up took place in Connecticut last week after a newborn was born left on the hood of a car.
Police received an emergency call around 4:15 p.m. on March 23 from a woman who described seeing a man placing an infant on the hood of a parked car. KWTX reports.
State police officers said the child was taken to a hospital in the area, where it was determined that the baby was 28 to 30 weeks old premature.
The baby was listed in stable condition.
Officers from the Eastern District Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation to locate the man, who was seen before police found the child.
