Mysterious “UFO” floating in the sky before disappearing leaving people amazed

A MYSTERIOUS floating object that appeared to fly through the sky for several minutes has left viewers stunned.

The bright moving light was spotted by confused local residents on Thursday evening as it hovered over several districts of West Bengal, India.

Extraordinary footage showed the glowing object in the night sky in several clips shared on Twitter.

Some local UFO enthusiasts claimed the sight was an alien craft, while others opined it was a satellite.

“It’s very close,” remarked a local resident.

“Doesn’t it look like a UFO. The light is gone.”

At first, officials were just as stunned as civilians and launched an investigation into the mysterious object.

It is now suspected that the light trails are the result of missile testing from nearby Begal Bay.

India TV reported that the object was likely an InterContinental ballistic missile – known as the Agni-5 – capable of speeds of up to 3100 miles per hour.

The outlet noted that the Indian military last tested an Agni-5 in October 2021.

It’s not the first time locals have been startled by bizarre shapes in the night sky.

Earlier, a fireball spotted in the skies over India left witnesses speculating the object was a UFO or a runaway rocket hurtling toward Earth.

The object was moving in the night sky of the Kishtwar district of the Jammu region of the Jammu and Kashmir Territory – causing multiple online reactions.

“Was it a near-Earth satellite, aliens, the drone, or the runaway giant Chinese rocket?” said a local.

“We were shocked when we saw it. It appeared to be full of flames,” said another.

“It seemed more like a UFO,” wrote a third.

While a fourth added: “It doesn’t look like an UAV or even a drone.”
