My waiter ‘didn’t have time to get candles for our birthday cake’ at a restaurant – is he being rude?

TIKTOK went viral after a waiter appeared to be “behaving rudely for no reason”. But viewers are divided.

While receiving their food, one of the ladies at the table told the waiter it was their friend’s birthday and asked if they could have candles.

The waiter said, “No, I really don’t have time to do that right now,” leaving an awkward silence.

The person who posted the post: “We care enough to wish you a happy birthday. LifeOfPerveen.

Video now has over 100,000 views with hundreds of comments arguing whether the waiter is right or not.

One person wrote: I’m a waiter and I’ll just say ‘No, sorry,’ if I don’t have enough time. He was rude for no reason,”

Another said: “Should have left him a note saying ‘Sorry, really no tipping.’

However, others decided to cut back on the waiter’s slack, writing, “No, I understand waiters sometimes this place is too busy to give special attention to people who will be leaving a a mess and refuses to tip in some way.”

Another wrote, “He knows you got 15% anyway.”

It is not clear where the incident took place or if Perveen, who posted the photo, exposed the man.

This isn’t the first time she’s run into a server dilemma. In one of her more popular videos, With more than 5 million views, Perveen said a waitress was “too comfortable” with her husband.

However, it seems that this video was played to be more amusing than the other as the waitress also seemed to poke fun at the situation and even lip-sync in the video.
