My simple three-second Dollar Tree bag hack makes your car smell amazing and can also be used all over your home
A car owner found an inexpensive way to add a nicer smell to the interior of her car.
She posted a short video on her TikTok account highlighting the funk-fighting scent hack.

Stephanie Hoffman (@stephielouwho91) began the clip by demonstrating the product in question while sitting in her car.
“So they’re selling these at Dollar Tree,” she began. “It’s a dose of… those Downy Unstoppables that smell damn delicious.”
She showed a small black box of Downy Unstoppables, which are laundry scent-boosting beads that can be put in washing machines to freshen up the laundry.
“I got a little mesh bag and just poured it in and put it over my little thing there,” she continued.
Then an orange mesh bag was shown, half filled with the scented pearls, and bag strings hanging around the steering wheel stalk on the right.
“It keeps my car smelling fantastic for weeks,” she concluded.
The clip caused quite a stir, garnering more than 54,000 views and a further 1,300 likes.
Viewers flooded the comments section with more helpful advice on how to combat smelly car interiors.
“Mix the Unstoppables with some hot water in a spray bottle. Girl!! Great fabric scent enhancer for your car, bed rug, etc. It changed my life, try it!” wrote one girl.
She wasn’t alone in this thinking, as another commenter explained a similar hack.
“My boy made me take Frabic Solfer [sic] Put a spray bottle and mix 1/2 spray in your car,” one guy wrote.
Another joked, “Just don’t leave them in when it’s hot outside… I made that mistake.”
One woman said, “I used them in my drawers too.”
Others have taken to TikTok to show how they rid their cars of unpleasant odors.
