My girlfriend was angry with me after Amazon sent me the wrong package… I had to plead my innocence

A MAN was furious after Amazon twice sent him a VERY embarrassing package.
Andrew Sharpe got the shock of his life when he opened the first delivery and thought it was a food basket.

However, when he browsed through it, he found that it was filled to the brim with sex toys.
A second package arrived five days later, filled with even more X-rated merchandise.
But this time Andrew accidentally opened it in front of his shocked girlfriend.
Confused Andrew, 57, told The Sun: “I couldn’t believe it. It really was X-rated stuff.
“I thought it was food as there was something inside that looked like a pork loin, but it was very different.
My partner of five was next to me with a face like thunder.

“My five-year-old partner was there with a thunderface.
“Then her children came in and I had to plead my innocence.”
He added: “The second box with my name and address even went to my neighbors originally, which could have proved very embarrassing.”
The range of sensual aids – some of which were remote controlled and vibrating – totaled over £200.
Andrew complained about the site’s online chat service after the first box arrived on December 8th and the second on December 13th.
Staff suggested that Andrew is welcome to keep his new toys, donate them to charity, or contact the police to move on.
‘BRUSHING’ SCAM
Amazon now believes it has fallen victim to “brushing” — in which sellers ship unsolicited orders to random addresses to boost sales and post fake, glowing reviews.
A Which? The survey estimates that more than a million UK households have been targeted by the scam, which often originated in China.
Former area manager Andrew, from Gillingham, Kent, added: “Having it happen once was bad enough, but twice is not okay.
I could not believe it. It really was X-rated stuff.

“I hadn’t ordered anything from Amazon in seven months so it was a real surprise. And after that I will never buy anything there again.
“I can’t imagine the reaction of a volunteer walking into my local charity shop armed with all of this. It was a ridiculous suggestion.”

Amazon has “investigated thoroughly” and given Andrew a £50 voucher confirming “appropriate action has been taken”.
A spokesman said: “We have contacted the customer to apologize and put things right.”
