My giant dog is 1.8m tall and 4.5kg – he towers over me but everyone who meets him says they are surprised
A woman who owns a giant 6-foot-tall dog that weighs 10 pounds says he towers over her and surprises everyone who meets him.
Alice Banister, 21, from the Peak District, bought her Great Dane, Wellington, when he was a pup.

Unaware of how big he was going to be, Alice said she now had to deal with everyday problems she never anticipated.
From the constant dribbling on the walls and ceiling of her home to trying to fit Wellington into her Toyota Aygo, she has to endure a lot.
However, she said her beloved dog is “an oversized, lovable douche” and a giant sissy.
She said: “I’ve had spaniels my whole life so it was definitely a small change, but the more dog there is, the more dog there is to love!”
“I’m about 1.6m tall and about 2.5m and the last time we went to the vet he was too scared to step on the scale but we’re guessing he was about 3 .5m tall and full size on hind legs is about 1.85m tall – he is taller than my friend who is 1.80m tall.”
Alice said the giant Dane was unaware of his size and will try to sit on visitors’ laps anyway.
She added: “I also love his inability to recognize that he’s not a small dog and that he still wants to sit on your lap, squeezes into small spaces and gets stuck, interrupting Zoom meetings with his huge head and plays with small dogs, even if he accidentally crushes them.
“Even though he’s huge, he’s a bit of a wimp and scared of a lot of things like garbage bags, the postman, fizzy drinks that make noise, ticket machines that beep, anyone in safety vests and loud noises.”
“We can’t lift him into the bath anymore, so we have to hose him down in the garden, but the water has to be warm.”
“He has an emotional support teddy bear that he finds and chews on when he’s worried and he doesn’t go out when it’s too windy or too rainy and we have to drag him out for a while.”
Wellington is also too big for regular dog collars and jackets, so has to wear ones made for horses.
It comes after an animal lover revealed her pooch is the “world’s biggest dog” and has been mistaken for a horse.
