My daughter’s hair is so long that people don’t believe her real age

Long hair can sometimes be a way to estimate a person’s age.

But for this little girl, her hair makes one believe that she is much older than her actual age.

Dollie, 2, has had thick hair since birth, now down to her back and is now being dubbed the ‘real life rapunzel’.

Her mother, Katie Canham, 34, said strangers now constantly compare her daughter to Rapunzel whenever they see her long, silky hair.

Katie said: “Now it’s all the way to the back. I’ve never seen a kid with hair like this before.

“People always tell us she looks like a baby Rapunzel because she has a lot of hair.”

“And then when I told them she was two, they couldn’t believe it.

Katie says that strangers rarely believe Dollie is only two years old because she looks so much older due to the ‘absolute amount of hair’.

She continued, “The reactions are funny. But she loves her long hair and so do I.”

The family are from Bromley, South London, and the Dollies’ siblings – Archie, 12, Ellie, 9, Reggie, 4, and Sonnie, 1 – don’t share her dramatic haircut.

Dollie got her first haircut when she was 3 months old and her mother now spends 30 minutes every morning styling her daughter’s hair, especially since its length can be knotted with ease.

The mother admitted that she watched hair tutorials on YouTube to sort out Dollie’s hair.

If Dollie could style her hair herself, she would leave it as it was, but her mother wouldn’t allow it, as she said, “I can’t let her hair down all the time because of the way it’s knotted, and sometimes She’s stuck in there.”
