One of the listings has some requirements Melissa just have to share with her followers.

“It has a $125 cleaning fee most of it Airbnbs and I don’t have a problem with that, but this is what I have,” Melissa told her more than 7,000 followers.

“In addition to that $125 cleaning fee, we ask you to get rid of the trash — well, remove the sheets — well, start the dishwasher, and a load of laundry.

“Now, maybe this is a perk, or a talking privilege, however, if I pay $229 a night to stay somewhere plus $125 cleaning, I won’t do anything. any laundry job. Dots. I know it’s like a load of laundry that would take me like two minutes to do, but it’s the principle that really annoys me. ”

The TikTok the video has garnered more than 33,000 views and 2,000 comments with many agreeing with Melissa and pointing out that if someone pays to clean, they don’t need to clean more than what is considered a courtesy, for example like taking out the trash.

“Hotels do all that for me and don’t charge me extra,” commented one person.

“I 100% agree,” wrote another.

“The host forgot that they were providing a service, and did not do the guest a favor. I think they forget that because it’s their own home.”

On the other hand, others feel that what the list requires is no big deal.

One commenter wrote: “It’s not asking you to wash your clothes.

“It asks you to throw some towels in the washing machine and start it up. Not a big deal.”

“Are you cleaning the toilet?” wrote a commenter.

“Are you vacuuming? Are you scrubbing the shower? Who is flipping. So you hit start on the dishwasher…”
