A fan of the concert posted a video of Tommy explaining what happened on Instagram and he reposted it on his account.

The drummer greeted the fans and thanked them for being there.

Although he didn’t offer an explanation for how he broke his ribs, the 59-year-old told the crowd he broke four of them about two weeks ago.

“I wish I had a bad history like me and Conor McGregor scraping it off in a frigging bar or something, but I don’t have one,” he told the crowd.

Tommy only lasted five songs in the setlist before he was in pain and had to leave for the night.

However, that was five more than he should have played.

“The doctors told me ‘don’t play’ and I was like, are you kidding the fuck, bro? We have to do a tour,” Tommy told the crowd.

“But I don’t sit on shit. My boy, Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath drummer) will help me out here and see you later. Let’s get on with the damn show,” the drummer said as he walked off stage.

After playing the show, Tommy went into depth in a lengthy Instagram post.

He again explained that he had broken four ribs and that the doctors told him not to play, but he was “stubborn” and “wouldn’t listen”.

“But I’ve been resting and healing … and I will fight through the pain for as many songs as possible at each show,” he wrote.

He was sure the Black Sabbath drummer would help him because everyone “has been waiting for this moment for years” and he “wouldn’t miss it”.

CRUE IS BACK TOGETHER

Motley Crue went on a seven-year hiatus during which they told fans they were quitting touring and were “completely wrecked.”

However, in 2018 the band began recording new music and released four songs for the band’s biopic film, The Dirt.

In 2019, following the success of the Guns ‘N Roses Reunion Tour, rumors began circulating that Motley Crue would be touring together.

The band was ready to come back stronger than ever, but the COVID-19 pandemic has thrown everything back and canceled their shows.

But after years without performing, they are finally back on the road.

It launched on June 16 alongside Def Leppard, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and Poison.

And of course, Tommy Clufetos has also joined and will help the Crue drummer until he is “100 percent back”.

The Stadium Tour runs through September 9th and concludes in Las Vegas.

ROCK LEGEND

Tommy is best known for being a rock legend and for being married to Pamela Anderson.

The drummer is a founding member of the heavy metal band formed in 1981.

He also formed the rap metal band Methods of Mayhem and pursued solo music projects.

The drummer has dabbled in television, starring in two reality shows.

The couple’s relationship was so public and popular that a Hulu series called Pam & Tommy was made about them.

Sadly, they separated in 2010 after marrying in 1995 and decided to co-parent their children, Brandon and Dylan.
