Mother’s Gratitude Letter to Colorado State Soldier After Pulling Her Son home – CBS Denver

(CBS4) – A Kansas mother praised a Colorado State Soldier for pulling her son over after he was speeding. In a handwritten letter, the woman, identified as Ronda, said the encounter was “a valuable lesson.”
Ronda explained that she and her sister both lost their husbands to cancer, and the three children in the car lost their father.
She appreciates Troop Voss’ care and concern for driver behavior behind the wheel, sharing how dangerous driving through Colorado’s mountains can be.
“You got them thinking about what might happen if they couldn’t slow down in the mountains,” she said. “You have shown genuine care and concern for us!”
Ronda said the message was heard loud and clear, while her son was slower and more cautious.
“It feels like their dad sent you to teach them a valuable lesson.”
