GEORGES TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – The mother of a toddler found “ice cold” and without a pulse has been charged along with the father.
Haylee Arnold is facing a number of charges including simple assault, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering others and endangering the interests of a child.
According to a report from Herald-StandardArnold “didn’t act” because her child was severely neglected.
In January, police were called to a home in Georges Town where a toddler was found hypothermic and without a pulse.
Later, police were told by her doctor that she was neglected and severely underweight.
The house was dilapidated when police arrived, full of feces, garbage, spoiled food and insects. That includes the room where the child sleeps in her playpen.
Keith Kalbaugh, the toddler’s father, is facing more serious assault and neglect charges.
