It is assumed that he was killed by putting duct tape over his mouth because he misbehaved.

They are said to have hidden his body in a specially built concrete tomb in the courtyard of their house in the Kypseli area of Athens, Protothema reported.

When the couple moved after being evicted, the Polish man brought his remains back in a toolbox, and even brought them to work.

During their relationship, he allegedly abused his two stepchildren and was also a drug user, police said.

Based on EPT . NewsThe man described to the police what happened when he killed the boy.

“I put a piece of insulating tape in his mouth and at the same time I covered his nose with my hand, because I wanted to reassure him, because he was often disruptive,” he told officers.

“As soon as I knew the child was dead, I made a makeshift ‘grave’ of bricks on the roof.

“Then when we were evicted from the apartment, I put his bones in a toolbox and took them with me wherever I went, as I was homeless for a while.”

Maniataki told her son’s school that he had returned to Poland with his father.

She also has an eight-year-old girl, who was in post-school care with obvious signs of abuse.

The pair have now been arrested after police said the boy had been killed.

Terrified police pulled out the makeshift grave to reveal where the young player’s body was buried.

Maniataki was led to the court by police on Sunday with his head bowed

According to Protothema, she told investigators she was playing video games when her son was killed.

A police source told the newspaper the man “said he put duct tape on the child’s face, that he was at home and pointed out where he hid the body”.

The suspect “is the type of person who starts to cry, hangs his head, expresses regret and says he made a mistake.”

According to police, the man “seemed to cover for her and not blame her” and added “he said she was there but did not participate”.

“It’s clear she’s lying because she’s saying illogical things, like she can’t see duct tape on the child’s mouth.

“Also, she didn’t see him put duct tape over the victim’s mouth. It was definitely a lie.”
