The budget also plans to allocate $421 million for mental health and school safety initiatives.

It will allocate $42 million for the School Enhancement Grants Program and $3.5 million for safety initiatives at Jewish Day Schools.

“As Florida continues to be a leader in education, these historic investments will no doubt help us focus on our students’ individual needs to help them thrive academically. ,” said Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran.
