Moore Haven man officially charged in connection with 2019 Bee Love murder



The man arrested in connection with the 2019 murder of Bee Love has been officially charged on his part.

Thompson was charged with Post-Event Accessories – First Degree Murder and Post-Event Accessories – Arson. Both are third-degree felonies.

Hendry County Sheriff’s Deputies Thompson’s arrest in December 2021. He is accused of participating in the murder of Bee Love, 23, in 2019. Deputies have not released details of Thompson’s involvement in the crime.

Love, a transgender woman, was found burned in a car in Clewiston’s Harlem neighborhood in September 2019.

The sheriff’s office has yet to arrest the person responsible for Love’s murder.

In December, Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whipris said hundreds of people had been interviewed and more than 50 search warrants had been issued as part of the investigation.

The agency has also received help from the FBI, Whiised said.

A person interested in Love’s murder had previously been named that same month, but Whiised said they were wiped out.
