Montgomery County Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz stated he and his co-sponsor, County Council member Nancy Navarro, hope this system will function a recruitment device for employers whereas serving to households.



The invoice was initially launched two years in the past, earlier than the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Girls have been considerably, disproportionately impacted from workforce improvement and are leaving the workforce in droves, largely due to little one care challenges of their communities — which had been challenged even previous to the pandemic,” Albornoz stated.
