MONKEYS were let loose in Pennsylvania on Friday after a truck carrying 100 primates crashed en route to the lab.

The crash happened on Interstate 80 in Montour County shortly after 4 p.m.

Anyone who comes across one of the monkeys is advised to contact state police at 570-524-2662, Pelachick said.

At this time, it is not known whether people or animals were injured in the accident.

Following the crash, portions of 54th Street heading west were closed, according to PennDOT.

Route 54 was then opened at 18:45.
