Moment of horror Grinning ‘carjacker’ with MACHETE slams into the car window and demands entry into the vehicle

CHILLING footage shows a man wielding a machete as he attempted to hijack a car.

The terrified motorist was sitting in traffic in Queensland, Australia, when the guy rapped on the window and grinned while holding the giant blade.

Passenger Ash Massacre filmed Monday’s horrific encounter in Deception Bay.

A clip shared on TikTok shows the man approaching the car brandishing a knife.

Then he stands at one of the windows and demands to be let into the car.

The man then picks up the machete and knocks on the glass a few times while grinning at the camera.

After trying to open the door, he gives up and walks down the street, gun in hand.

Ash said they couldn’t move as they were surrounded by other vehicles.

She said in another video: “It was absolutely terrifying.

“I did not know, what I should do. I was in shock.

“We had stopped at the traffic light and basically I could see a guy walking through it and I was like, ‘What is he doing?’

“And my husband is like, ‘Oh, he’s walking around with a machete,’ and he’s been swinging it around.

“So I started recording it because I thought it was weird and my sisters would never believe it.”

Police were called to the scene and a 21-year-old man was arrested.

He has since been charged with making threats of violence, trespassing and obstructing police.

Queensland Police say he is due to appear in court in December.

It comes after a courier on a delivery trip stole his van when a thief jumped into the front seat as he was looking for packages.

He watched as the bandit sped off, leaving the back door open and packages scattered in the street.

Footage of the robbery at 9:30am shows the moment the courier realized he was being mugged with the car and watched in horror as the thief sped away.

Bystander Richard Lewis, 34, drove after the van during the theft in Birmingham but gave up after running a red light.

The engineer said: “It was absolutely crazy, I drove by and saw this guy jump in all of a sudden and start driving.

“I chased him for about a mile, he was going slightly over 30mph but I couldn’t catch him after he ran a red light, it was too dangerous.”
