Mom played the role of ‘fun cop’ after sharing her strict rules about school holidays

One MUM shared the opinion after sharing a picture of the strict list of rules she made her children follow during the school holidays.

In the list shared on the Facebook page for Mum Central – an Australian parenting organization – Melissa Smith writes that her children can “have as much iPad/TV time as they want – as long as they all these jobs have been completed before you turn on the screen”.

In Melissa Smith's list of rules, the kids must finish their chores before they're allowed to watch TV or use iPads

Among the chores, the children had to make the bed, eat breakfast, get dressed and brush their teeth, and do their hair.

They then had to complete 20 minutes of reading, 20 minutes of writing/coloring, and 30 minutes of outdoor play.

In addition, the kids have to clean a room – their TV room or bedroom – and make or build something creative, out of Legos, sand or crafts.

In the end, they have to help another family member with something.

“Then you can watch TV/play iPad,” concludes Melissa.

While some people praise Melissa for her list, others insist that chores are overwhelming for kids to do during their vacation.

“This is so stupid,” one person wrote. “Let the kids enjoy their vacation.

“Did you do all of this on your vacation before you started using electronics?”

“Wow, what a fun boring murder idea this is,” added another, while another commented: “Yeah…. nah. The holidays for us don’t have a scene. happy close.

“We go by each day. Each person has their own meaning.”

In addition to the housework, the kids have to do some school work before they have leisure time.

Others claim the list is a great idea and the only way to ensure kids don’t use their devices all day, every day, during the holidays.

“They are even more important when the kids are in their teens, otherwise they hide in their rooms all day and wonder why you yell at them to do their thing,” one mother wrote.

Another said she was thinking about implementing a holiday list for her kids, writing: “I love this!

“My kids are allowed to use devices from 7 a.m. until we wake up (9 or 10) and then it’s fun because we don’t have specific rules…. the above. would be great.”

In other parenting news, this mother has leaves her stunned by what she finds while cleaning her toddler’s room for the first time in a while.

This mother getting her kids to take 12,000 steps a day before they have time to play video games on the weekends.

And this The pregnant mother-of-three opened up about her messy home, after getting tired of mummifications and their pristine home.

I am a pregnant mother of three at the age of 19… I don’t understand why women wait to have children until the age of 30, it will be really hard for them.
