Mom-of-seven who can’t get a job because of her tattoos shares defaced throwback pic before getting inked

A MOTHER, who says she can’t get a job because she’s covered in tattoos, shared an unrecognizable throwback snap of her before she got most of her tattoos.

Extreme body mod enthusiast Melissa Sloan, 45, says she’s “addicted” to tattoos and has spent countless hours under the needle.

Her looks have certainly changed over the years as her extensive ink coverage makes it hard to believe that she is the same woman as in the picture.

Despite reportedly getting funny looks in the street, she insists she’s not done yet and will soon be adding to her body art collection with a crucifix just below her right eye.

She added that she loves the way she looks and feels “proud”.

Melissa, from Knighton, Wales, said her tattoos are now usually done “prison style” by her boyfriend at home.

She even makes some of them herself when she can.

She said, “I wear these [tattoo] Keep a gun in the trunk with me, I’ll get one in the car or somewhere else.

“I can’t get a job. They do not want me. I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they don’t want me because of my tattoos.”

The ink lover added that she will never stop and has even revisited old tattoos just to keep making the buzz.

She said: “I’ve spent my whole life being completely covered in tattoos. It took me 15 years to create this beautiful work of art.

“I will never wake up and think I made a mistake. I have achieved so much by being myself and following my dreams.”

“I get three tattoos a week. It’s like getting addicted to a cigarette or a drink.”

Melissa’s designs include an England flag on her face and large pieces dedicated to the Kray twins and Playboy bunnies.

A campaign of abuse

However, her obsession with ink has a chilling reason.

Earlier this year, the mother-of-seven revealed to The Sun Online that she uses tattoos to erase years of harrowing sexual abuse at the hands of her half-brother.

She claims to have suffered a campaign of abuse at the hands of pedophile Gavin Sloan, 46, until she was in her 30s

The distorted predator was sentenced to 21 years in prison in May for raping and sexually assaulting children.

She said: “When I was a kid, he touched me.

“It got worse as a teenager. He groped me and tried to get me to have sex with him.

“I tried to fight him off, but he was older and stronger than me. I was afraid of him and what he was capable of.

“I felt like there wasn’t much I could do.”

Eventually, she plucked up the courage to report the abuse in 2012.

But the stay-at-home mother’s case was dropped when she decided not to pursue the allegation.

Police revisited Melissa nine years later while investigating Sloan for other child sex crimes.

She said: “It sent chills down my spine to learn that they were investigating him for other sexual offences.

“He’s bad – I call him Jimmy Savile. He’s an absolute monster.”

Sloan, from Minsterley, Shropshire, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison after admitting to raping a child, possessing indecent pictures of children and sexually assaulting children.

Two female accomplices were also convicted for their involvement in his sickly crimes.
