Sarah Lloyd-Jones, 39, is charged with grossly negligent manslaughter – allegedly failing to meet Kaylea Titford’s diet, exercise and hygiene needs in 2020.

Father Alun Titford, 44, faces the same charges but is in hospital and did not attend Mold Crown Court in North Wales.

The crimes are said to have taken place between March 24 and October 11, 2020 at their home in Powys.

Judge Rhys Rowlands listed a new hearing for June 30 with a preliminary hearing date of January 16.

Judge Rowlands remarked, “It’s an unusual case.”
