Qerim said, “‘Stay ready.’ Call Suga Free – one of the best quotes of all time.”

The reference to the 1997 hit song If U Stay Ready made one fan swoon on Twitter.

They wrote: “*Swoon

While one said: “@MollyQerim just quoted #SugaFree on @FirstTake #LEGENDARY I see you @MollyQerim [champagne cheers emoji]”

The topic of readiness came up as Stephen A. Smith, JJ Redick and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo discussed LA Clippers star Paul George’s recent injury and the number of injuries he has suffered this season.

Smith, 55, explained that “there’s a difference between getting ready and staying ready.”

He continued, “It often surprises me — not Paul George, because that can happen to anyone — but it makes me wonder what guys do in the off-season to prepare for the porridge and grind of an NBA season.

“Because of the injuries this year, all I’m saying is good God have mercy, what the hell is going on?”

George suffered a sprained knee during Tuesday night’s 101-100 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski.

Reports say he will be re-examined in two to three weeks.
