Netflix has a killer library of reality TV shows, and soon it will be adding another with the addition of The Mole, a revival of a classic reality competition that aired on ABC between 2001 and 2008.

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming release.

What is the mole?

Netflix is the revival and reconfiguration of a loved one ABC reality competition, The Mole – which ran for 5 seasons – where 12 contestants compete for a huge pot of money by participating in a series of games and challenges, while a secret Sabatour is in the middle trying to reduce the overall jackpot.

“The Mole is a high-stakes competitive series, and in this revamped version, twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will end up winning. Among the players is a person secretly dubbed “the mole” and tasked with sabotaging the group’s money-making operations. In the end, a player will outlast their competition and unmask the mole to win the prize pool.”

We are very much looking forward to the release and the opportunity to meet the 12 new candidates! And luckily we don’t have to wait too long for the new(ish) Netflix show to be released! The series launches October 7 with new episodes weekly, according to Tudum.

Who is the host of The Mole?

Alex Wagner – best known for hosting Alex Wagner tonight on MSNBC; co-hosting The circus on Show time, and for being the author of FutureFace: A Family Secret, An Epic Quest, And The Secret Of Belonging – has been announced as the new host for the Netflix revival of the popular reality competition.
