MLK Jr Day Parade. in Naples canceled, virtual event planned



The parade is scheduled for Martin Luther King Jr Day. in Naples was canceled because of a virtual event due to the high number of CoVID-19 in Southwest Florida.

According to Vincent Keeys, president of the Collier County section of the NAACP, they think it will be in the best interest of the public during our public health emergency.

“The 25th Commemoration of Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on January 17. The theme of this year’s event is “We Must Move On”. Events will be displayed on the NAACP Collier . website in Monday.

The parade scheduled for MLK Jr Day in Fort Myers will go ahead as planned.
