The discovery came a day after her car was found parked in an apartment complex on Sunday.
She had reportedly been dead for about six days, investigators said.

Joseph John Dejoie was charged with murder and several other crimes on Tuesday.
An investigator with the St. Charles Police Department said that Mitchell and Dejoie “hung out in the same areas,” according to local NBC affiliate KSDK.
