JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Fox C-6 teacher who allegedly sent inappropriate photos to a student.
Investigators told FOX 2 the teacher taught at Ridgewood High School. When FOX 2 asked the district about its investigation earlier on Thursday, the district did not respond, but a letter was sent to parents Thursday afternoon.
“When I heard about it, I was quite sad. I think it’s really disgusting,” Holly Burch told FOX 2.
Burch said she has a son who is a student at Fox School District C-6. She said she and other parents received a letter today from the superintendent of Fox C-6, saying that the school district received a complaint about the “inappropriate conduct of a Fox C-6 employee.”
“I’m so glad someone came because I don’t even have the words, I don’t even know how to describe it,” Burch said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was investigating a 37-year-old female teacher at Ridgewood High School for allegedly sending inappropriate photos to a student. Burch said her son knows who the students and teachers sent the photos to. The son also had some pictures on his phone, and she looked at some of the pictures. She said they were very inappropriate.
“The pictures I saw were disturbing,” explains Burch. “Like, wow. It’s just shocking. I just don’t understand. ”
Fox School District C-6 will not say whether teachers will still be employed.
“I hope that she’s not in the district — that she won’t be able to be a teacher anymore,” Burch said.
