Missing mother Nisaa Walcott, 35, was found dead after her leg popped out of a storage bin on the street near Yankee Stadium

Residents of a Bronx neighborhood were faced with a gruesome scene when a woman’s body was found decomposing in a roadside dumpster.

Nisaa Walcott, 35, had been missing for days when a man noticed a foul odor emanating from a bin outside a storage facility on University Avenue, The Highbridge area of ​​New York City.

Then he noticed a human foot protruding out of the crate.

Neighbor Stephanie Nunez told ABC 7 that her stepfather had parked near the dumpster for a few minutes before finding out.

“He just got out of the car and didn’t notice anything,” Nunez said.

Neighborhood residents say that the area outside the warehouse, several blocks from Yankee Stadium, is a common dump for unwanted items.

The man who discovered Nisaa’s remains noticed a dresser on the curb Friday morning and returned in the early afternoon to retrieve it.

Meanwhile, the container containing the body was dumped on the roadside.

A police source told New York Post that they were questioning a male cousin, who was videotaped removing a plastic container from Nisaa’s residence on Friday.

The suspect was also captured on video entering Nisaa’s East Harlem apartment building with her, then leaving the building alone.

Family members who texted Nisaa expressed concern to the police after her response appeared unusual and inconsistent with previous conversations.

Investigators believe the suspect may have been posing as the victim and sending messages from her phone to avoid suspicion.

A neighbor said that Nisaa allowed the suspect to stay at her house.

“How do you do that with your cousin?” he told the NY Post.

“She gave you a place to live, she gave you a place to live. She actually reached out her hand and this is how you repay her?”

Nisaa left behind a 14 year old son.
