Americans with CASH will likely get at least one more stimulus check coming this year.
As a result, State Senator Brian Jones said that each resident could receive $1,125 in tax refunds, or $4,500 for a family of four.
He explained this in a video earlier this month while spreading a large pile of rice with his hands.
“If every grain of rice is $100,000, that means California’s $45 billion surplus is this over-collected tax,” the Republican state lawmaker said.
The Census Bureau estimated in July 2021 that California’s population exceeds 39 million.
But keep in mind that it’s still unclear who will qualify for the next round of potential stimulus checks and what their size will be.
In 2021, California rolls out two-state stimulus programs: Golden State Stimulus I and Golden State Stimulus II.
These stimulus checks are worth up to $1,200 and $1,100 respectively.
Eligibility for these required Californians earn less than $75,000 per year and generally applied in 2020 tax before October 15, 2021.
Currently, status send about 139,000 more stimulus checks program in 2021.
Those who applied for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) before October 15 – need to file their state return before the deadline of February 15 to receive their check.
For a potential third installment, tax breaks are not included in the Governor Gavin Newsom’s original suggestion – but that may change in spring.
“We expect in May to revise the language when I update the budget that we will likely have an additional taxpayer rebate,” Mr. Newsom said last month.
Meanwhile, at the federal level, we explain three reasons why you might received a fourth round of stimulus checks.
See seven stimulus checks worth up to $10,915 that you can claim this month.
