KELIS’s husband, Mike Mora, has passed away after battling stage four stomach cancer, according to reports.
The Milkshake singer’s management team confirmed the 37-year-old photographer passed away on Monday.
A statement shared with ET: “Sadly, it is true that Mike Mora has passed away. We ask that all respect the privacy of Kelis and her family at this time. Thank you.”
Dozens of gifts were returned to Kelis’s husband.
Actor Evan Ross said: “We lost a brother yesterday. We will really miss Mike. Think of all the great times we all spent together.”
Photographer Brian Bowen Smith wrote: “So sorry to hear of our dear friend Mike’s passing last night.”
He said it was “a pleasure” to work with him.
Bowen Smith said: “We’ll be thinking about you in every frame today. Great example of why you need to live each day to the fullest. And be grateful that every day of yours is here. (sic) Love you MM.”
And, Dallas Austin music star said: “All I can say is we LOVE YOU Mikey FRIENDLY”
Kelis has not commented on her husband’s death.

Mike was diagnosed with stage 4 gastritis canceralso known as gastric adenocarcinoma, and lived for 18 months.
He shared about his cancer diagnosis last October.
The photographer said he started experiencing severe stomach pain in 2020, shortly after he and his wife Kelis moved to an outside farm Los Angeles.
He described his symptoms as “loss of appetite” accompanied by “back pain”.
He initially put his pain on the farm’s hard work.
Mora explains how doctors diagnosed him with the most severe form of stomach cancer.
He said: “I thought the whole time that I just had an ulcer. I didn’t know what was going to happen to me.
“I was here, in the hospital bed, between pandemic. All alone. “
