“Mike can retire now to play Bron one-on-one”

LeBron James is playing at elite level in his 19th year, and Michael Jordan is trying to win his first championship as a CEO with Charlotte Hornets. While both exceptional talents were looking for their day jobs, fans were engaged in an unending debate to determine the greatest basketball player of all time.
Many older fans will stick with Michael Jordan as they get to witness his dominance. Although there are several roots to LeBron James, the younger generation is the demographic that cheers him on the most.
By the numbers of their careers, it is difficult to declare a dazzling winner. But another basketball star has voiced his claim that Jordan is GOAT while acknowledging James’ greatness.
“Dancing With The Stars” winner and Brooklyn Nets defender Iman Shumpert was on “The Bootleg Kev Podcast” and was asked who he considers GOAT. Without thinking twice, Shumpert told Jordan.
“Like I said, man, Bron, you’re my dog,” Shumpert said. “But you know this. Bron and I argued about this.”
“Bron laughs about it.”
“That’s what I’m saying about Bron, it’s as raw as f**k to me.” For me personally, I would be like Mike having to play me one on one, f**k all of that. We stream this s**t. “
“Very little I think Mike is very competitive, man. Mike can retire now to play Bron one-on-one.”
It was a lively conversation as Kev, a radio and hip hop DT employee, and Shumpert turned back and forth. Shumpert was born in Berwyn, Ill., 20 minutes west of Chicago, and grew up watching the Chicago Bulls.
Shumpert, a shooting guard, won the championship with James in 2016 and consistently commends LBJ for his understanding of the game and high basketball IQ. Despite that, he insists Jordan is the all-time great in his eyes.
Michael Jordan and LeBron James both played an important role in the growth of the NBA
Without Jordan, basketball would not be as popular as it is globally today. He has attracted worldwide interest, winning six NBA championships and two gold medals at the Olympics. His undefeated streak in NBA Finals will always come up in the debates, as James has made 10 appearances and “only” won 4 titles.
After Jordan returned to retirement after two years with the Washington Wizards in 2003, James was first drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers that year. James was the best player since Jordan, and fans jumped into the race. For nearly two decades, LBJ has competed at the highest level even as he nears his 37th birthday on December 30.
Both players have the highest respect and admiration for each other, as they both recognize that they have played important roles in NBA history.
