With legendary rock stars gone, few names or faces are more recognizable than Mick Jagger, the man who led the Rolling Stones for nearly 60 years.
That’s why fans were so captivated by the event the “Honky Tonk Women” singer went completely unnoticed when he visited a dive bar in Charlotte, North Carolina, in September.
But now it is no longer a mystery.
In a new interview, Jagger shares how he ended up coming into view while the band was in town playing a sold-out show in Charlotte.
“Hardly anyone was there,” said the 78-year-old washington articles his stop by Thirsty Beaver Saloon. “It’s dark. It’s not like it’s really grand. I’m not in a big, giant limo. I just walk the block and then go down there.”
He went on to explain that due to COVID-19 rules for the Stones tour, he was not able to go inside the pub anyway.
“But I can stand (on the field) outside the pub,” he noted.
And, of course, he can (and did) Share proof on Instagram.
For those socially estranged acquaintances who don’t spot him, they’re not alone. Jagger has a habit of blinking and you’ll miss out on local stops when touring these days.
“I mean, the locals told me it was a popular dive bar when I went there,” he said. “In normal times, I’d go into a bar and spend time there. But you know, I don’t want to do it because it’s boring. So I just go out. And other times, you is a typical tourist such as St. Louis Arch. If you go there at certain times of the day, there won’t be as many. .
This explains how he managed to get a snapshot all alone at Arch just a few days before his Thirsty Beaver stopped.

“In a way, it’s like a diary,” he told The Post. “The places you’ve been.”
