Michigan golf course building catches fire a year after $12 million renovation

SHOCKING footage has shown a recently renovated $12 million country golf club ablaze.
The fire broke out at 10 a.m. local time on Thursday, when flames broke out from the club’s roof.
Video from the scene showed plumes of black smoke rising from the country club.
Flames appeared in the center of the building but quickly engulfed the separate wings.
The fire broke out despite the wet weather sweeping through the Southeast Michigan.
Firefighters were seen to tackle the blaze, with dispatch requesting additional crews.
The cause of the fire is unknown and police have not released any details on the matter.
It has yet to be revealed if anyone was in the club at the time of the fire.
The country club reopens in 2021 after being closed for two years for a new $12 million renovation.
The club consists of two 18-hole courts, designed by architect Donald Ross.
