Michael Strahan delivers an epic “mic drop” moment as NFL legend and rookie stud clash on Twitter

NFL Hall of Famer and broadcaster Michael Strahan will always protect his New York Giants.
When a Twitter row between former San Francisco 49er Joe Staley and Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux on Monday got too personal, Strahan, 51, decided it was time to step in.

It started on Sunday during the NFC Championship game between the 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
As the Eagles ran away with the game and eventually won 31-7, Thibodeaux took the opportunity to laugh at her expense. Leave a Comment: “The way this game looks, we could be better than the 49rs [laughing emojis]”
After spending his entire thirteen-year career in San Francisco, Staley quickly made a defense for the 49ers. Call Thibodeaux “a Flash player who is bolstered by average tackles,” before warning him not to “get too influenced by the New York media.”
Former kicker Lawrence Tynes was the first of the two-time Super Bowl-winning Giants to step in. Leave a Comment: “Hey @kayvont, ask Joe if you can see his NFC Championship Rings?”
“You’re a rookie, so you might not know this, but the Super Bowl ‘loser’ gets a ring for winning his conference and he has two! [crying emoji]”
To the Staley easy said: “You’re a kicker”
At this point, Strahan had heard enough.
He answered says Staley to “Chill man!”
“Let this young man live and don’t try to take him down for mentioning the 49ers. They had a great season and should be proud.”
But there was more to come.
Thibodeaux also responded to Staley’s Flashplayer comment questions “Who are you brother…” whereupon he said: “Enough to answer.
“Congratulations on your 4 sacks this year. That’s huge. Incredible numbers.”
Strahan clearly believed things were getting out of hand and called it a day.
He tweeted: “You also had a great career and can be proud.
“Don’t go after a rookie and my kicker. @kayvont had 4 sacks this year. I had 2 1/2 on you, you’re rookie year and I was old at the time so don’t forget that.
“Keep my young guy alive!! #DADDY”
The Fox NFL Sunday and Good Morning America host, who remains a fan favorite in New York, only cemented that status with his defense of the rookie.
One fan commented: “That’s why Strahan will always be one of my favorite giants. My goodness, what a mic drop!”
Another replied: “Big Bro Strahan out of nowhere [fire emojis] like to see”
While one said: “World’s first recorded post-retirement sack”

Even guy NFL Alumni were surprised by Strahan’s response, with Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons commenting, “D**m bro..”
Thibodeaux later retweeted Strahan’s “mic drop,” before apparently tweet about Strahan with the comment: “I wanna be, I wanna be like mike [crying laughing emoji][salute emoji]”
