Michael Keaton Wins Golden Globe for ‘Dopesick’ – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) — Pittsburgh-born Michael Keaton won a Golden Globe award last night for his performance in the Hulu miniseries “Dopesick.”

Keaton won the top prize in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

“Dopesick” is based on a book of the same name and deals with the nation’s drug crisis.

Next, Keaton will once again wear “Batsuit.” Although Warner Bros. will not confirm his casting reports, Keaton is expected to appear in the upcoming HBO series Max Movie “Batgirl”, according to Variety.

Keaton famously brought Batman to the big screen in 1989, first with “Batman” and its sequel “Batman Returns”.

He will also appear as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming movie, “The Flash”.

Last night’s Golden Globe Awards went off without the fanfare of awards season.

None of the winners appeared to be present at the event, nor did they immediately comment on their prizes. Instead, members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and some of the group’s philanthropic recipients gathered at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for a private 90-minute event, announcing the names of those involved. wins in film and television on the organization’s social media feeds.

The HFPA came under fire after a Los Angeles Times investigation revealed ethical flaws last February and a lack of diversity – not a single Black journalist in the group of 87.

Since then, the group has added a diversity director; its board overhaul; introduced 21 new members, including six Black journalists; bring the NAACP into a five-year partnership; and update its code of conduct.
