The company is described as a watch reseller and was founded in 2017. WatchBox has both brick-and-mortar stores as well as e-commerce and is estimated to have the potential to generate $250 million in sales this year. . By securing investment from global NBA superstars like Jordan and Antetokounmpo, it’s clear that WatchBox is working to make some noise in the global market.

But they’re not the only NBA players getting into the investing game.

Several current NBA players have also taken their hats off to the WatchBox floor, including current stars of the Phoenix Suns. Chris Paul and Devin Booker as well as Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns. Danny Govberg and Justin Reis are the co-founders of WatchBox, and the two made a splash when they founded an e-commerce company focused on selling high-end watches.

Following a recent round of investment, WatchBox announced it has also added a number of individuals to its board of directors, including Jeff Saunders, formerly Warby Parker’s chief financial officer.

Having an NBA legend like Michael Jordan as one of your primary investors is always a big deal. When Jordan was in the NBA, he was one of the most famous global athletes in sports history.
