Meltdown NBA fans think Luka Doncic gets a ‘criminal’ haircut while playing chess at the barber’s – but there’s a twist
DALLAS Mavericks star Luka Doncic has caused an uproar among NBA fans after he took to social media to document a recent visit to a hair salon.
The Slovenian superstar shared a photo of himself in a barber’s chair on Thursday, leading fans to fear he would leave the hair salon with a “criminal” cut.

In the snap, Doncic can be seen playing chess on his phone while his hairdresser takes the photo.
At that moment, the NBA star appeared to have gotten an unflattering Edgar cut with partially shaved sides.
The image quickly went viral on social media and set alarm bells ringing.
NBA fans asked, “Why would you do that to him?” while others called Doncic’s looks “criminal” and speculated the barber screwed up the haircut because he was “focused on the chess game Luka was in.”
Some even began commenting under independent posts on the hair salon’s Instagram account, begging to “get Luka right bro.”
But those more knowledgeable about hairdressing techniques quickly realized that Doncic’s haircut wasn’t ready at the time the picture was taken.
“Bro has never seen anyone get a fade,” wrote one fan.
While another added, “I can tell you don’t know anything about fades lol… that’s how it starts.”
Her theory quickly proved correct.
About an hour later, Doncic shared another photo that showed the Mavericks star with a slick side transition that gave him a fresh, groomed look.
All in all, the NBA guard was in good hands as the Hair Culture hair salon he attended has looked after many famous athletes.
Her hairstylists can be seen tending to Denver Nuggets forward Vlatko Cancar, as well as soccer stars Arturo Vidal and Samir Handanovic, among others.
