Charles’ advocating for diversity (continued…)
Charles, who met the school’s principal, Lord Woolley, said: “I couldn’t be more pleased to hear of the outstanding work being done to promote greater inclusion and diversity.
“As Lord Woolley knows, this is a subject that has always been close to my heart and I have sought to continue and support as best I can in my life.”
He added: “For our society to be able to successfully meet the enormous challenges ahead, we will need all of our talent and all of our contributions.
“It’s not simply a good intention – it’s the deepest good meaning.
“I’ve said before that our diversity is our greatest strength, and I believe in that truth more and more as time goes on and as I see new examples of that principle. – as I have made very clear here today.”
The Prince held a private meeting with Lord Woolley, who is also an equality campaigner and founder of the Black Vote Campaign.
He became the first black person to lead a college at Cambridge or Oxford after assuming his post last month.
In the past, he has partnered with the Prince’s Trust to address disadvantage among ethnic minorities
