Prince William and his wife Kate were not seen holding hands.

But William offered the Princess of Wales a supportive touch as they left the service.

It comes as…

It came as the late Queen’s coffin was carried in a tearful procession from Buckingham Palace at 2pm in a gun carriage drawn by the Kingsguard.

The funeral procession traveled up the Mall before proceeding down Horse Guards Road and past Horse Guards Parade.

It then meandered down Whitehall to Parliament Square, ending at around 3pm at the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Hall.

Numerous soldiers escorted the coffin on its slow journey to Westminster.

And the Imperial Crown of State gleamed on a cushion atop the Royal Standard draped over Her Majesty’s coffin.

When the Queen’s coffin arrived, the pallbearers carried her into Westminster Hall.

They were 10 former and serving Heeres-Equeries of Elizabeth II, who were at her side in uniform throughout her reign, assisting her with engagements and keeping her public diary.

After the coffin arrived at Westminster Hall, the Archbishop of Canterbury conducted a brief service.

This is where the Queen will lie in state until her state funeral on Monday.

William and Harry marched in the second of three rows in the ten-strong procession that left Buckingham Palace at 2.22pm.

King Charles led the Royals – flanked on the left by Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and then Prince Edward.

On the reverse was the Princess Royal’s husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, to his right Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, grandson of George V.

And the Earl of Snowdon – son of Princess Margaret, the Queen’s sister – to the right of the Duke.

Members of the public have lined up to pay their respects to the Queen – and queues already stretch for miles.

Millions are expected to pass by Her Majesty’s coffin in the coming days.

As a Cabinet Office source told The Sun, estimated wait times rose from 200 to 2,000 hours in just two hours on Wednesday morning – the equivalent of 83 days.

An estimated 750,000 Britons plan to flock to London to pay their respects.
