Fan accounts on X – formerly Twitter – began circulating video footage from the MTV VMAs that showed the pair in a heated exchange.

Megan, 28, was shown getting ready while Justin, 42, walked past.

Suddenly, the Tennessee pop star appeared to say something to the rapper that wasn’t audible but clearly upset her.

She responded – again inaudibly – and pointed a finger at his face before rolling her eyes and going back to her work.

He walked away, but fans online were eager to know more about the unexpected fight.

One viewer wondered: “Did Justin Timberlake say something that upset Megan Thee Stallion?” We still haven’t forgiven you for what you did to Janet Jackson. Do we have a problem?”

The post referenced the NFL halftime performance where Justin famously ripped off part of Janet’s ensemble and exposed her breast on live television.

Someone else wrote: “We don’t know what Justin Timberlake said to Megan Thee Stallion, but we’re on her side!”
