Meet Madyson Goodfleisch, wife of Daytona 500 winner Ricky Stenhouse Jr., as NASCAR’s dubbed “cutest couple” couple

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is the NASCAR Cup Series winner for the third time in his career.

The 35-year-old kept Joey Logano and Christopher Bell in check to win the 2023 Daytona 500 on Sunday.

And from Daytona International Speedway, his wife Madyson Goodfleisch and their Goldendoodle Ruby watched as he celebrated his first Cup Series win since the Coke Zero 400 in 2017, also at Daytona.

Goodfleisch currently works as Communications Manager for the Drivers Advisory Council and has a wealth of experience in the racing world.

According to her LinkedIn, she previously served as a licensing and retail manager at Richard Childres Racing for three years before becoming a partner licensing and marketing manager.

She also runs Slide Job Ranch with Stenhouse Jr., where they care for four miniature longhorns and as many miniature donkeys, according to their website.

According to a 2018 NBC Sports article, his sister also lives at the ranch, while there’s also a place for his parents to move to when his mother retires.

Winners of the “Cutest Couple Award” — according to a follower on Instagram — Stenhouse Jr. and Goodfleisch met in 2020, announced their engagement in November 2021, and tied the knot in October 2022.

He asked the question at Cathedral Rock in Arizona’s Coconino National Forest.

Stenhouse Jr. announced the news on Twitter with a series of stunning shots of the remarkable sandstone landmark along with the subtitle: “Yesterday was a great day, we did some new hikes together and now we can spend the rest of our lives together.

“Madyson said YES!!!”

And their wedding ceremony was just as scenic, taking place outdoors overlooking the Ashley River in Charleston, South Carolina.

Goodfleisch told PEOPLE that she “grew up with Lake Cumberland in Kentucky, so the water is very special to me.

“We knew we wanted to get married on the water.”

Several NASCAR drivers joined them on their special day including Kyle Larson such as Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin and Todd Gilliland among others.

And it seems the pair were destined to join Stenhouse Jr. in telling PEOPLE, “We enjoy a lot of the same things.

“We love dirt racing, we love good country music and we love playing golf together.”

They are also both devout Christians, with Stenhouse Jr. stating, “Our lives are always changing, but all we know is that we have the one constant, and that is our faith and our belief in God.”

“We’re sticking to that because we have a lot of bad days out on the track. The good days are rare.

“It’s hard to win races and it’s hard to have good runs when you’re competitive these days, so we’re trying to hold on to our beliefs.”
