BROCK Purdy’s volleyball star girlfriend was spotted alongside his emotional father as they celebrated the 49ers’ first win as a starting quarterback.
Jenna Brandt appeared to make her relationship with San Francisco’s new 22-year-old secret weapon official with a heartwarming post in which she called him “my boy.”
Brandt, a setter on the University of Northern Iowa volleyball team, celebrated a smashing win for the San Francisco 49ers.
Purdy led the team to a win over the Patriots on Sunday night – prompting fans to question the skills of NFL veteran Tom Brady.
The former Iowa State player’s family and close friends emotionally celebrated the 35-7 win as he ran to the stands to hug them.
Brandt was seen all in 49ers gear in a heartwarming video of Purdy running after the win to hug friends and family.
While Purdy has said little publicly about his personal life, the new quarterback can be seen in several pictures with Brandt — a kinesiology major from Sumner, Iowa — smiling warmly.
“No way are you dating THE BROCK PURDY,” someone commented on Brandt’s recent post on Instagram.
The volleyball star now appears to be a part of Purdy’s entourage as she and her sister Whittney attended the game in San Fran along with his family, according to Instagram Stories posted by her sister.
According to the UNI website, Brandt is a sports star in her own right, having played in all 31 volleyball games in her last season and setting a career-high assists as a setter.
Purdy’s victories on and off the field come after his family were reportedly very excited to attend the game – but not for the reason you might expect.
NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted that the Purdys haven’t seen many games this season, but this one was different.
“It made plans well in advance to travel to this one today because of…Tom Brady,” the American sportswriter said.
However, in a shocking twist, his family had to witness a win over the seven-time Super Bowl winner that left his father in tears, an emotional one Video from the 49ers shows.
Purdy had a lot to prove this season.
He was selected as a final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, earning him the title of Mr. Irrelevant — a nickname given to every player ever picked as the 262nd pick.
However, his time to shine came when starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a serious foot injury that kept him out for the entire season.
Purdy entered a game against the Dolphins days ago in relief after making just one other appearance so far this season.
He found instant success, inspiring his team to a 33-17 win to end the season 8-4.
In doing so, Purdy ended one of the longest curses in NFL history.
His touchdown pass to Kyle Juszczyk was the first regular-season result ever by a “Mr. Irrelevant” was thrown.
Purdy, who is now celebrating his first win against an NFL legend, stayed humble and said it was a “dream come true.”
“It’s crazy. I grew up watching him, watching him play and win Super Bowls,” the 22-year-old told FOX after the win.
“So to be on the same field and to be able to compete against each other is literally a dream come true.
“Very blessed and honored to play against him.”
