McDonald’s is changing the name of a popular menu item and adding two new options — but there’s a catch

A POPULAR fast food chain is rebranding a popular sandwich and introducing two new items to its menu.

McDonald’s has a few new sandwiches for its customers, and it’s still days away before fans can try it.

McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich has been a fan favorite since its launch in 2021 and now joins the popular “Mc” family.

These include McNuggets, McMuffin sandwiches and McFlurry desserts.

The new name for the crispy chicken sandwich is McCrispy.

“Earning your ‘Mc’ is a true McDonald’s badge of honor,” McDonald’s wrote in a statement.

To celebrate this moment, the company is launching two new sandwiches, but only for a limited time.

1. BACON RANCH MCCRISPY

Bacon Ranch McCrispy features the restaurant’s signature chicken fillet with applewood-smoked bacon and a creamy new ranch sauce.

There will also be crinkle-cut chilled cucumbers served on a toasted potato bun.

2. BACON RANCH DELUXE MCCRISPY

On the other hand, the Bacon Ranch Deluxe McCrispy steps it up with Roma tomatoes and shredded lettuce.

There will continue to be a crispy chicken fillet with applewood-smoked bacon and a new ranch sauce, served on a toasted potato bun.

The two sandwiches will be available starting March 13, but will only be in stores for a limited time.

OTHER NEW MCDONALD’S ITEMS

In addition to rebranding sandwiches, the fast-food restaurant is also launching something sweet.

Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s will partner to add an “all day” item to the burger restaurant’s menu.

Starting next month, McDonald’s will be selling Krispy Kreme donuts.

“We’re excited that during this extended trial, our fans will be able to satisfy their sweet tooth at participating McDonald’s locations in the area, throughout the day in the restaurant, at the drive thru, via McDelivery and on the McDonald’s app,” a statement from Krispy Kreme.

The launch is part of the first test of the sweet treat fast food restaurant.

In October 2022, the restaurant began selling Krispy Kreme donuts at nine restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky.

The expansion will continue from March 21, but only in select locations.

“The extended test will help us learn more about the operational impact at a larger scale and examine customer demand,” reports Krispy Kreme.
