McDonald’s fans demand discontinued items ‘must return’ including fan-favorite burger and beloved dessert

MCDONALD’S fans have shared their brutally honest opinions about beloved items that are sadly no longer available.

The fast food lovers discussed the good old days when they could get their hands on some of their favorite items.

In a Reddit thread, McDonald’s lovers responded to a prompt discussing fast-food items that need to make an immediate comeback.

One particularly popular burger that was discontinued was the Mushroom Swiss Burger, which was part of the Signature Crafted Recipes line.

“Life hasn’t been the same since McDonald’s took away my favorite burger,” said one devastated fan.

Tragically, in 2019, the top brand decided to ditch craft burger options and focus on the traditional quarter pounder.

Others mentioned more sandwiches being removed and said they have been in mourning ever since.

“They had a cheddar burger with grilled onions on the dollar menu that was amazing,” said one user.

“Even though it’s just a budget menu sandwich, I thought it was the best McDonald’s has ever produced.”

The McDonald’s Snack Wrap was also mentioned several times, apparently not doing well enough to make it onto the season ticket.

Before its inevitable demise in 2016, the wrap consisted of chicken, shredded lettuce, and cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Unfortunately, the company decided it was too complex and decided to scrap it.

More users were upset with some sweets that were gone too soon, including the cherry pie and dipped waffle.

“When McDonald’s stopped frying the apple and cherry pies, it marked the beginning of their long decline,” said one Redditor.

Instead of frying the pies, the restaurant now opted to bake them to accommodate more health-conscious diners.

Another thing you’ll sadly never see coming out of the golden arches again is the once-popular Szechuan sauce.

This sauce caused quite a stir in 2017 and 2018 when it made its first comeback after appearing on the Rick And Morty show.

It was originally introduced in 1998 to promote the film Mulan.

Unfortunately, McDonald’s was unprepared for the onslaught of customers hoping to try the Szechuan sauce, prompting public meltdowns and protests.

It’s possible you’ll see this again in the future, but it won’t be easy to cling to.

It comes as McDonald’s fans are furious that the store is abruptly dropping a “lighter” option and demanding it come back.
