EVERYONE loves a good McDonald’s burger – or perhaps you prefer nuggets and fries.
But while the food looks delicious as you eat it, things behind the scenes may not be so great.
ONE McDonald’s The employee shocked everyone by sharing how he cleaned the grill at the end of the day.
The employee was selected by The Sun to protect his identity, revealing the first time he “cleaned up the trash” left behind while the grill was still hot.
Then he added a little water to help wash away the grease, continuing to scrub.
Once the water has evaporated and he can get rid of the old grease, he will apply a layer of “grill cleaning goop”.
While it was still warm, he continued to scrub the grill with water until all the grease was gone.
In the second video, he explains that excess water and grease are pushed into a bucket on the side, which is then poured out.
After his video, which gained more than 4K views, people had different opinions.
It’s important to note that this is how this particular employee cleans the ovens, but not the usual industry standard – as many have pointed out in the comments.
Some were quite annoyed, one said: “Why am I surprised to see them clean?”
A second commented: “That’s why my double cheese sandwich tastes so weird.”
But many others are simply glad that McDonald’s cleared their grills at the end of the day.
Before that, another staff member revealed that The eggs they use for breakfast are usually prepackaged.
“The scrambled eggs,” he began, “are pre-cooked.”
He handed over a sealed package of a dozen ripe, bright yellow eggs.
“All we did was throw them on the grill, arrange them neatly, put some water in it, and then cook them again.”
After letting them heat up for a few minutes, he scooped them into a tray and said they were done.
